Everyone seems to have a facebook profile nowadays, and if you have a WordPress powered blog, then you should know that facebook has a feature they seem to hide in a very small link at the bottom of the profile page that allows you to create a facebook badge that you can display on your blog or website.
With the Facelook Plugin you can easily display a facebook Badge in the Sider Bar of your on a self-hosted WordPress Blog without having to hard-code your WordPress template or use the sometimes unreliable Text Widget. You simply need to create a facebook badge from within your facebook profile. Facelook has been tested on WordPress version 2.5 and should work on any WordPress version 2.3 and above.

My Facelook Facebook Badge can be seen used in the side bar at http://gaboink.net. Feel free to visit my facebook profile and send me a friend request! If you find Facelook useful, please consider a donation to help future development projects I have in the hopper for the WordPress community, and are greatly appreciated. Please leave a comment letting me know that you are using this widget!

Nice stuff, George!
Can I use this for promoting a group on facebook instead of my personal profile?
Thanks Joakim,
As far as promoting a group, the current version of the Facelook plugin only displays a Facebook Badge. I like your recommendation for promoting a Facebook groups and will look at adding it as a feature in future releases.
conflicts with feedburner stats wordpress plugin. Not a big deal. But they can’t exist together, because they will have the same title
Hi Alvan, not sure what you mean by the same title for the two. Can you be more specific?
George
thanks very useful plugin
Hi George,
I activated your plugin. Where do I get the code to paste and do I paste it into my sidebar theme
thanks
mike
Hey Mike,
Look at the screen grab on this post and the information you need to enter is forms the .js file and is highlighted in yellow in the example above. You do not need the entire code snippet or the .js extension, simply the characters before it.
Hope this helps!
This is a great plugin
